That is Litte Duck Hawk Ridge. You can no longer hike on the ridge. The whole in the ridge is called Eye of the Needle. The trail has been closed to protect the hawks. However, the ridge can be viewed from several locations on the Alum Cave Bluff Trail, from Inspiration Point to a little above the Alum Cave Bluff. There are many pictures of this ridge at http://www.mtleconte.com.

Hello:

Years ago I headed up to Mt. Leconte and we stopped on the left at a great overlook. My friend called it the "Razorback". Great spine of a cliff that had a hole in it a few hundered yards down the "spine" Way back in the 80's it had a canister with a log and we signed it. Do you know where this spot is on the way to Mt. Leconte . I want to find it again.

Regards,

Spencer
